Overview

In this book, the Berlin-based artist Andreas Wegner presents works from the past three decades. Better-known pieces and art projects like Point of Sale and Le Grand Magasin that were conceived for public settings and extensively documented in individual publications are contextualized with other works of installation art. For the first time, the artist’ s photographs and paintings are seen side by side with his situation-specific creative practice. With dedicated chapters exploring thematic foci of Wegner’ s art such as display, value creation, money, and social movements, the book intertwines theory, practice, and multifaceted compositional strategies.
