Overview

My Rock Stars immerses us in the multicoloured world of Hassan Hajjaj. Here, in a joyous coming together of photography and music, this self-taught Anglo-Moroccan artist draws on his Gnawa, Amazigh, Arab and African heritages, as well as on the reggae and hip-hop cultures of the 1980s, to celebrate the many figures who inspire him : from the masters of traditional music to Billie Eilish, Madonna and Rachid Taha, all are photographed in a jubilant deluge of colours and patterns.
